Gospel Arrangements
Another aspect of the Amy & Robin music story is their gospel/hymn-tune arrangements. After “Amy-and-Robin-izing” the old tune “In the Garden” they soon became in demand at church services, weddings, funerals and gospel concerts. Working toward a hymn-tune CD, they continue to present these songs upon request at the various aforementioned venues. Currently their hymn-tune repertoire includes: “In the Garden,” “How Great Thou Art,” “Amazing Grace,” “The Lords’ Prayer” and “The Old Rugged Cross/Precious Lord/Softly and Tenderly (medley)”. They have strived to keep the familiar melodies mostly intact (though it switches from voice to voice—often several times in one line) but have arranged and harmonized them in their own inimitable style.
